摘要
E-learning has taken an important position in the field of higher education as an alternative of innovative training. One of the most relevant developments in the last five years has been the Massive Online Courses (MOOC), known by its acronym. This document begins with the definition of concepts and evolutions of the MOOC, identifying the most successful platforms in education. We then review and analyze the MOOC offer as an educational strategy of Colombian universities. Finally, we show the relevance of this phenomenon as an academic alternative for higher education, considering the platforms, pedagogical approach, content and trends from the offer of MOOC courses. The methodology for the development of the study is exploratory and sequential, combining bibliographic methods and statistical procedures for the analysis of information.
