Renal infarction is an uncommon diagnosis with an incidence of about 0.007% of emergency department admissions. It is often mimicked by other more common diseases such as urolithiasis or other abdominal lesions at clinical presentation. Atrial fibrillation can result in systemic arterial embolism, involving the kidney. We report a case of bilateral renal infarction causing acute renal failure in the setting of chronic atrial fibrillation.
