We consider a specific model of a heat pump, where the irreversibilities come from finite thermal conductance between the working fluid and the reservoirs, heat leak between the reservoirs and internal irreversibility inside the pump. A steady-flow approach of finite-time thermodynamics is applied to calculate the maximum coefficient of performance and the corresponding heating capacity. We also determine the bounds for the upper and lower temperatures of the working fluid.
