IN-SITU LUMINESCENCE MEASUREMENT OF IRRADIATION DEFECTS IN LITHIUM SILICATES

摘要
An in-situ luminescence measurement of lithium ortho- and metasilicates was performed under H+ beam irradiation. Luminescence bands of broad width were observed at 380, 420 and 490 nm. The temperature dependence of the luminescence intensity was not monotonical in the temperature range from 300 to 850 K. The intensity increased at the temperatures around 650 K and then decreased drastically above the temperature. The production behavior of irradiation defects was discussed on the basis of the observations.
