POLICY ANALYSIS FOR TOURISM IN ECUADOR WITH EMPHASIS ON RURAL COMMUNITY TOURISM

摘要
The concern for sustainable tourism in the world has encouraged countries to seek ways of sustainable economic growth, in this sense the Rural Community Tourism can become a development strategy, which allows the participation of communities in the tourism as an alternative means of generating income and in turn be protagonists of development efforts that contribute to environmental conservation, rescue and preserve their own identity. However, the TRC is a type of tourism emerging both in Ecuador and in most Latin American countries, organizations and institutions are called to promote this type of activity, beyond propel give priority to other types of tourism, leaving gaps that must necessarily be analyzed and corrected for there is a promotion of tourism responsibly and fair that promotes all from their different characteristics. This research was obtained through literature review in which the role of institutions is analyzed in the development of TRC; existing policies, their advantages and limitations, as well as their strengths and areas of opportunity. The research finished with recommendations with recommendations for the tourism sector based on the analysis of documented community experiences.
