摘要：
Starting from the joint statistics of two orthogonal components of the broadband thermal light vibration, which are normal to the propagation direction of a light wave, we derive the concept of polarization degree and the joint probability-density functions of those two orthogonal components in various polarization states, so that an overall description of polarization of broadband thermal light is obtained.
