摘要
We present a global fit to neutral-current data (including improved parity-violation data), M(W) and the last year LEP results in the standard model and its minimal gauge extensions. In the standard model, for m(H) = 100 GeV [m(H) = 1 TeV] and alpha(s) (M(Z)) = 0.12, m(t) = 112(-23)+22 GeV [m(t) = 140(-21)+19 GeV] (1-sigma). For gauge extensions with a minimal (arbitrary) Higgs doublet content, the M(Z') lower bound improves (with respect to our previous analysis) by about 200 (50) GeV. In the case with an arbitrary Higgs doublet content. the bound on the Z0Z' mixing is reduced by a factor of about 4. No data set seems to favour a new Z', meaning that present Z' limits are governed by the data error size only. The relevance of the different data in the fits is discussed, as welt as the correlation between M(Z') and m(t,H) bounds. Present limits on magic observables and mixing parameters are given.
