摘要
A Fe-57 Mossbauer spectroscopic study was carried out at 300 K to study the self-combustion of coal. Hyperfine parameters such as isomer shift, quadrupole splitting and the total internal magnetic field of Fe-57 nuclei were used to identify various iron-bearing species during different stages of the process. Oxide and oxyhydroxide phases were present in all the samples, suggesting a crucial role of oxidation and weathering in the spontaneous combustion of coal.
