摘要
By means of known parameters and general relations the value of the Briggs' logarithm of the association constant KCsTPBorgcorresponding to the reaction Cs+ (org) + TPB- (org) ⇌ Cs+TPB-(org), which takes place in the organic (org) phase of the two-phase water-1,2-dichloroethane system, has been calculated for a temperature of 25°C: log KCsTPBorg= 7.13 (TPB- denotes the tetraphenylborate anion). It has been found that the ion pair Cs+TPB- is substantially more stable in the 1,2-dichloroethane phase of the system under study than in nitrobenzene saturated with water. © 1991 Academic Press, Inc.
