In the paper, the optimization problem has been formulated for two-column radiator of central heating by criterion of maximum radiator heating capacity per unit mass. Mean dimensions of the elliptic section for water flue, clearance between the internal fins, half-clearance between the external fins, fin heights, mean temperature of wall are treated as the variables. To increase the efficiency of radiator modelling, the idea of two-level hierarchic optimizational modelling system has been used. The numerical example has been given.
