摘要
This research deals with the characterization of the soil and land cover applications that have occurred in the basin of the Pao River between the years 1986 and 2016. The methodology includes: 1) acquisition of two images of satellites Landsat, L5TM and L8OLI. 2) preliminary processing of images. 3) application of the technique of postclasificacion for the detection of cambios. 4) assessment of accuracy tematica. 5) validation of the classification of images. The study shows that classes presenting increments are: urban: - 1.37 %, agriculture: - 22.99 %, declines occur in classes: agricultural: 1.12; water: 0.55 %; vegetation: 8.1 %; denuded soil: 9.66 %; shadow: 2.28 %. As a result in this research has been generated a map of land uses providing information that leads to the conclusion that the Pao River basin has undergone changes in the use and land cover, the increase in urban use is predominantly located north i. in the upper basin of the Pao River, between the towns of Naguanagua and Valencia.
