摘要
The influence of porogenic solvents on the swollen state morphology of the copolymers of 4-vinylpyridine and divinylbenzene has been studied. The porogenic solvents able to effectively solvate the growing polymer chains promote the formation of a polymer mass containing well swellable domains. Of the porogenic solvents used only pyridine derivatives acted in this manner. Under the influence of non-solvating porogens (all other solvents used, including toluene) only a dense polymer with poor swelling ability is produced.
