ESTIMATE OF THE EXPECTED NUMBER OF STARS WITHIN THE FIELD OF VIEW OF AN ASTRONOMICAL INSTRUMENT

摘要
A method is proposed for a rapid estimate of the expected number of stars within the field of view of an instrument by means of a nomogram that takes into account the penetrating power of the instrument and the position of its line of sight on the celestial sphere.
