摘要
This paper examines the operators' attitudes towards sustainable tourism development concept in Ghana, using Butler's (1993) five constructs. The major finding is that Ghanaian tourism operators (private and public) have favorable attitudes toward sustainable tourism development concept. However, its implementation is constrained by a state of inertia such as cost and expertise. Therefore, a comprehensive training in development of tourism, human resources, and the marketing and promotion of the concept needs to be implemented by the government in order to bring about a better awareness and benefits of this concept.
