Angiomyomatous Hamartoma of Postauricular Lymph Nodes (Case Report)

Angiomyomatous hamartoma of lymph node is a rarely seen. vascular and smooth muscle proliferation occuring within a fibrosclerotic stroma. We present a case of a 21-year-old man with bilateral pain and swelling in the postauricular region who subsequently underwent an excisional biopsy. On hietopathological examination, the medulla of the lymph nodes consisted of proliferating vascular structures, smooth muscle cells and mature adipocytes. In the peripheral portion of the lymph nodes, lymphoid follicles with prominent germinal centers were identified. Immunohistochemically, some stromal cells in the medulla showed positivity for smooth muscle acbn. The histopathological features and immunohistochemical profile lead to a diagnosis of angiomyomato us hamartoma. We herein reported a case of angioniatous hamartoma of lymph node, with a review of the literature.
