摘要
The exponential increase and the lack of proper management of solid waste produced nowadays, driven by consumer society, or even hyperconsume for some authors, appears as a new aspect of experienced social and environmental crisis, which demonstrates the relevance of this theme. From an analysis of the consumer revolution that transformed the act of consuming consumerism in the present work, by means of literature, has the scope to demonstrate that the National Policy of Solid Waste sensitive to this reality, starts with its principles, objectives and instruments, a new rationality for the pattern of production and consumption in order to provide sustainable development and ensure an ecologically balanced environment.
