摘要
Reaction of NdCl3 with 3 equiv of potassium 2,6-diisopropylphenoxide in THF solution forms the salt K[Nd(O-2,6-i-Pr2C6H3)4]. The [Nd(OAr)4-] anion is pseudotetrahedral, while the potassium cation displays a novel bis(eta(6)-arene) interaction with the arene rings of aryloxide ligands of adjacent anions, thereby forming an quasi-one-dimensional infinite chain structure. This example of a lanthanide infinite chain structure based upon a bis(eta(6)-arene)-alkali-metal interaction appears to be without precendent.
