摘要
A study was made of the structure and properties of ShKh15 high carbon chromium steel vanadised in molten salts and of cold tube drawing mandrels of this steel. Microstructural and X-ray diffraction analyses were carried out on the vanadised steel, and the phase composition of the diffusion coating was studied. Tests indicate that vanadising increases the sticking and wear resistance and reduces the friction coefficient of the steel by comparison with heat treated and borided variants. This results in a considerable increase in the service life of cold tube drawing mandrels.
