摘要
The aim of this study was to provide evidence on the dimensionality of the Spanish version of SMS adapted Physical Education in the version of 3 and 7 factors. We used a sample of 253 students (118 males and 135 females) from three Secondary Schools in the province of Almeria, aged between 13 and 18 years old (M = 15.51, SD = 1.31). As instruments they were used Sport Motivation Scale adapted for Physical Education and Learning Orientation Questionnaire and Performance in Physical Education Classes. We conducted an exploratory factor analysis of three and seven factors model, and convergent validity was performed by ANOVA and correlation analysis by sex. The results showed that the two models in Spanish get good indicators to be tested by confirmatory models. The results also corroborate the contributions of existing studies and remain in line with the theoretical formulations in which they are based on.
