摘要
The article seeks to establish whether asset-based policy would be useful in Baltic states. A brief outlook of current social situation in Baltic states is made and the social policy in place is evaluated. Then, a new direction for social policy - Asset-Based Policy is presented. Various asset-based policy models implemented in other countries are overviewed and compared. Taking into consideration identified benefits, inefficiency of current social policy, economic crisis and austere fiscal policy it is stated that the asset-based policy should be implemented in Baltic states
