摘要
Computer technology has allowed us to rethink the process of archaeological documentation by introducing important innovations in all phases of research, from recovery of data to analysis, interpretation, reconstruction and communication of results. Nowadays archaeological teams have direct access to new tools and methods on site, but often without a clear and precise purpose; the methodological chaos that reigns over the application of computer technology to the practice of archaeology is clearly visible. Without any pretense of presenting a model, this paper describes a series of field experiments conducted on Faragola site, and reflections based on the growing use of computers in the various phases of our research.
