摘要
In this paper we will treat that portion of verb semantics which refers to aspect to demonstrate that its overt grammatical expression is directly related to two other semantic phenomena such as nominal definiteness of verb argument and the sequence of tenses. While the former is absent only at the superficial phrase structure, the latter, as redundant, does not appear on verbal constituent at all.
