HOLOBOMOLOCHUS (COPEPODA, BOMOLOCHIDAE) REDEFINED, WITH DESCRIPTIONS OF THREE NEW SPECIES FROM THE EASTERN PACIFIC

The genus Holobomolochus is redefined based primarily on the absence of rostral hooks. Five species are presently considered members of the redefined genus. They are: Holobomolochus glyphisodontis (Kroyer), H. vervoorti Cressey, H. chilensis, new species, H. dawsoni, new species, and H. wilsoni, new species. The first author is reassigning to other genera those species with rostral hooks formerly included in Holobomolochus. The genus is so far known only from the western Atlantic and eastern Pacific.
