摘要
Bagasse fly ash, a waste generated in sugar industries, has been converted into a low cost adsorbent material and utilized for the removal of 2,4- dinitrophenol (DNP). Results on the effect of pH, sorbent dosage, phenol concentration and the presence of surfactants are presented and discussed. The material exhibits good sorption capacity for DNP and the adsorption data follows both Langmuir and Freundlich models. Thermodynamic parameters indicate the feasibility of the process.
