摘要：
This paper presents a methodology for selecting performance indicators for evaluating a port's performance with respect to its economic (rather than its engineering) optimum throughput. performance indicators am choice variable for optimizing the port's economic objective(s) and include the port's price and operating options (for differentiating service). If changer in these indicators have opposite effects on port performance, a single (or overall) performance indicator is recommended for evaluating a port's performance.
