The applicability of a method introduced by W. F. Moss and M. J. Christensen is demonstrated by applying it to the integral transport equation for a one-dimensional homogeneous slab reactor. Both the nonhomogeneous problem and the eigenvalue problem are considered. The numerical results indicate that acceptable accuracy is obtained even if the characteristic value parameter is close to a characteristic value.
