EFFECT OF IRRIGATION, NITROGEN AND PHOSPHORUS ON THE PRODUCTIVITY OF SUNFLOWER

In an experiment at Gujarat Agricultural University, Junagadh during rabi 1985-86 and 1986-87 on sunflower, significant increase in seed and stover yield was observed with 0.7 and 0.9 IW/PAN-E ratios over 0.5 ratio. Growth and yield attributes followed the same trend. Highest seed and stover yield were recorded at 80 kg N/ha. However, there was no response beyond 60 kg N when crop received irrigation at 0.9 IW/PAN-E ratio. Seed and stover yield, did not respond significantly to phosphorus application.
