摘要
A new fiber optical reflectance sensor for determination of heavy metal ions is described. It is based on xylenol-orange which is electrostatically immobilized on an anion-exchange resin. The sensor was tested for lead ions. It is sensitive to Pb2+ ions in a concentration range from 3 x 10(-6) - 3 x 10(-5) M. A response time of 1.5-2 min was observed. The optrode is not fully reversible, but can be regenerated in acidic solution (pH 1).
