摘要
The volatile compounds from fermented oil palm sap were extracted by two methods. The volatiles were identified by capillary gas chromatography-mass spectrometry. Qualitative and quantitative variations of the volatiles were determined during the palm sap fermentation. The work is presented with regard to the role these volatiles may play in the semiochemical relationship between the Palm weevil (Rhynchophours palmarum) and its host-plant (Elaeis guineensis).
