OPTICAL FUZZY-LOGIC PROCESSING SYSTEMS - ARCHITECTURES AND APPLICATIONS

Optical fuzzy logic processing is a new technique of optical computing. In this paper, several optical fuzzy logic processing systems based on an area-encoding technique are reviewed. The possible improvements for these optical fuzzy systems are discussed. More importantly, the applications of optical fuzzy logic processing techniques in fuzzy neural networks, fuzzy inference and image processing are explored.
