摘要
The unusual transformation of the ambient temperature H-2 NMR spectra of ammonia on titania (rutile), from solid state to motionally averaged singlet type with increasing surface coverage in the submonolayer regime, is attributed to the action of the repulsive lateral interaction of the molecules in the adsorbed state. The conclusions are substantiated by a new interpretation of published data.
