Oil- and Gas-Bearing Prerequisites in the Anadyr Basin Based on Geochemical Indicators

The Anadyr oil- and gas-bearing region is one of the promising areas for the development of oil and gas prospecting exploration research. The goal of this paper is estimation of the oil source potential in the deposits of the section, distinguishing the degree of potential realization and the character of the distribution of the main potential columns over the section in the basin, and revealing the genetic nature of hydrocarbons (HCs) with an attempt to find the genetic relations of the oil deposits with generating columns. Oils and organic matter (OM) from different parts of the sections were investigated. The oil source potentials of individual complexes were estimated, and an attempt was made to estimate the potential of the basin as a whole.
