摘要
Purpose: To evaluate the results of a new visual field test, rarebit perimetry in normal patients. Materials and Methods: Thirty-one eyes of 16 patients were included in the study. Ophthalmic examination and Humphrey visual field were normal in all cases. Regular test and fovea test were done in rarebit test. Mean hit rate for central 30 degrees and fovea were calculated as the mean of all tested locations. In addition, for central 300 mean hit rate was calculated for upper temporal quadrant, upper nasalquadrant, inferior temporal and inferior nasal quadrant. Results: Mean age of the cases was 32,6+/-6,8 years. Mean hit ratewas in regular test % 92.7 +/- 3.4 and in fovea test % 96.75. In regular test mean hit rate was in upper temporal quad-rant % 93.05+/-3.53, upper nasal quadrant % 92.65+/-3.63, inferior temporal quadrant % 92.4+/-3.49 and inferior nasal quadrant % 92.95+/-3.07. Mean test time in regular test was 5.57+/-0.46 minutes. Conclusion: Rarebit perimetry is a reliable visual field test in which the test time is short and the test is easy to perform for the cases.
