摘要
Well-defined polymers amino functionalized at their chain ends were synthesized by the reactions of either anionic living polystyrenes or polyisoprenes with α -halo- ω)-aminoalkanes with a protected amino functionality. The reactions generally proceeded well in THF at -78-25 °C to afford the aminated polymers in good yields. Careful analyses of the resulting polymers by a combination of acidbase titration (HC104), size-exclusion chromatography (SEC), and thin-layer chromatography (TLC) indicated that these polymers had high degrees of amination (>95%) at their end groups as well as predictable molecular weights and narrow molecular weight distributions. The usefulness of applying the TLC/flame ionization detection technique to quantitative analysis of the resulting polymers was discussed. © 1990, American Chemical Society. All rights reserved.
