摘要
A new bit — rate reduction method developed for MUSE signal is reported here. This method employs an orthogonal transformation by which MUSE data-rate is reduced further to 1/2 to 1/3 of the original, maintaining its picture quality acceptable for home-use digital VTR of HDTV system. © 1990 IEEE
