摘要
Butane oxidation was studied for the vanadia layer supported on silica and different kinds of titania. A high selectivity to acetic acid was found for the titania based systems for temperature as low as 200-degrees-C. On the V2O5 SUPported on SiO2, maleic anhydride was a major partial oxidation product. The TPD study of the adsorbed butane revealed two kinds of oxygen species present on the surface of supported V2O5. Reactive labile oxygen species are postulated to oxidize adsorbed butane molecule at low temperature. The observed decomposition of the oxygenated adsorbed hydrocarbon at higher temperatures must proceed at the expense of the lattice oxygen of the vanadia layer.
