ON METHODS OF MEASURING OPTICAL LOSSES IN SINGLE-MODE FIBER LIGHTGUIDE IN THE REGIME OF COMBINATION AMPLIFICATION OF LASER-RADIATION

摘要
A new method of measuring optical losses in a single-mode fiber lightguide (FLG) is considered theoretically. It is shown that optical losses in an FLG can be determined by measuring in the combination amplification regime the weak-signal power at the output of the FLG for given pumping power values.
