ACOUSTIC-EMISSION IN SURFACE DAMAGE OF STEELS OF PETROLEUM AND GAS EQUIPMENT

摘要
The problem of analysis of the kinetics of surface failure of low- and high-strength steels used in above-ground petroleum and gas equipment is formulated. A method is given for hydrogen impregnation of specimens of steels with simultaneous recording of the acoustic emission accompanying plastic deformation and formation and development of surface defects, blisters. The results of experimental investigations of the kinetics of hydrogen damage of steels of different classes using acoustic emission data are considered and compared with model concepts. Directions in practical use of the method and results are designated including the selection of material and evaluation of its damage and the effectiveness of inhibiting in the service of equipment.
