摘要
A new method for the determination of the activation energy for surface diffusion on large single crystals is presented. The activation energy for surface diffusion of one-dimensional islands, two-dimensional islands and the energy needed to remove an adatom from an adsorbate island have been determined. This data is in good agreement with results obtained by field-ion microscopy.
