MULTIFACTOR DESIGNS FOR TEST VERSUS CONTROL COMPARISONS

Up until now only single factor experiments for test versus control comparisons have been investigated in the literature. In practical situations however, it is quite common that several factors are under study simultaneously. In contrast to the case of factorial experiments, no results are available for the multi-factor case for test versus control comparisons. These experiments are studied in this paper. The contrasts which represent main effects and interactions of interest in the multi-factor setting are defined. A generalization of type S designs of single factor experiments, here termed type S - PB, is introduced. Two classes of type S - PB designs are also presented.
