摘要
A fixed ground-station network does not allow ESA's European Space Operations Centre (ESOC) to control all satellites during launch, especially those involving polar orbits. To bridge this gap, ESOC has prepared the specifications to enable European industry to build a transportable station, which is currently deployed at ESA's Villafranca del Castillo Satellite Tracking Station, near Madrid. This article describes both the technical characteristics and applications of this TSI Transportable TT&C Station.
