Organizational Commitment: a study with CEFET-MG teachers

摘要
This study aimed to describe and analyze the variables of teacher's organizational commitment at campus I of Federal Center of Technological Education of Minas Gerais, CEFET-MG. After the theoretical referential, the methodology detailed a descriptive case study both quantitative and qualitative. Data from 77 questionnaires were analyzed using univariate and bivariate statistics; content analysis was applied in open questions of the questionnaires and 10 interviews held with teachers. The calculative dimension (rather be there than in any other organization) assumed prominence comparing with the affective one (affection for the organization), in an interdependent way, because of the pleasure for the work and the institution depends on the returns it offers to the teacher. The normative dimension (sense of duty to the organization) showed no significance between the raised, exposing weaknesses.
