摘要
The advertising and marketing campaigns can, certainly, contribute significant and positively to consumers instill healthier habits. Nutrition and feeding are two interrelated areas that could not be conceived separately, and thus, the main objective of the legislation on Food Security and Nutrition is to provide consumers with the needed information to implement nutritional habits of healthy living. Therefore, the food industry faces the challenge of transferring value and nutritional scientific knowledge that may be useful to the productive development of the sector, improving, at the same time, the quality of consumers' life. In this framework, we propose a reflection on two areas of particular importance, not only nationally, but also internationally. On one hand, analyses the challenges that the industry has to face in order to ensure the safety and consumer protection. On the other hand, analyses the emphasis on understanding the mandatory nutrition information on all foods as a basic requirement for the development of healthy habits.
