摘要
In a 3-year period, we investigated 3,624 hips clinically and sonographically. Of the 1,812 babies seen, 9.2% were treated for hip pathologies. In unstable hips, the presence of a positive Ortolani sign was associated with more severe sonographic pathologies as compared with those associated with a positive Barlow's test. One group of 12 babies referred for hip instability was unusual: examined 1-18 weeks later, their hips were found to have become clinically stable, but 19 hips had sonographic pathologies.
