摘要
Violence and armed conflict in the urban areas of Medellin, become an actual problem in the city by his inherent specificity and dynamism towards Colombia national conflict. This research focus in the study of urban violence that emerged between 2001-2008 configured by three illegal armed groups. aiming in identifying the hegemony and escalation and deescalation periods of conflict. Data was systematic collected from hemerographic file searching and secondary specialized sources regarding time series of present study. Research findings findings appoint disappearance of guerrilla militia from the territory and mutation of paramilitary towards criminal bands and the persistence of illegal drug trade as the catalyzer and generator of conflict.
