摘要
This article discusses the problems of identification and service delivery to abused elderly who reside in the community. A model for sensitizing the public to the concerns of elder abuse is presented as it was implemented in Brooklyn, N.Y. Three target groups for education were identified: professionals, community leaders and the elderly themselves. Educational objectives were conceptualized for each target group and a series of educational workshops were designed to facilitate these objectives. Recommendations and strategies for such community-based education programs are presented. © 1991 Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.
