摘要
About 50 years ago the specialized field of endurance strength was developed in the motor vehicle and aircraft construction industries with the object of providing reliable and cost-effective designs for components which are subject to alternating stresses. This way of looking at endurance strength has now become accepted throughout engineering construction. The stresses which occur during operation must be known if reliable components are to be designed. As part of a research project measurements were therefore carried out on high-pressure grinding rolls used industrially and in the laboratory. The aim of these investigations was to established measured data for designing high-pressure grinding rolls from the point of view of endurance strength. The operational measurements have shown that the hardest stresses for component design do not occur during steady-state operation but at the start and end of grinding and in connection with particular operating conditions.
