摘要
Environmental dilemmas facing the world today, humanity faces a new challenge, to build sustainable communities. The school and society are called to face the challenges of global warming. This text aims to deepen the analysis of national policies related to environmental education. Also on the National Curriculum Parameters (PCNs) - Cross-cutting themes in the book when it comes to achieving these goals. Search to examine them in terms of its theoretical matrix and the issue of its inclusion, discussing issues that flow from them. Concludes problematizing the practice of Environmental Education in Brazil and implementation of standards in this area. It also questions the school as principal place of enforcement of environmental subjects.
