摘要
Scholars new to the emotional intelligence (EI) literature will find that it is often confusing, with multiple proposals for what EI is, and how organizations should go about measuring it. Some major issues related to measurement are nominated and alternatives proposed for rethinking EI. Implications of these challenges and alternatives for HRD theory, research, and practice are briefly considered.
