摘要：

The article deals with information architecture for the information system world wide web. Basic factors of information architecture that help users to find and handle information are described. These concepts should be taken in consideration before and while building a website. Optimization in structural design is the pre-condition for a successful user-friendly website. Navigation and labelling criteria are specified, the difficulty of embedded search engines is regarded. The importance of metadata and controlled vocabularies are scribed.
